About Me - Jo

Seventeen years ago, I packed up life in the UK and moved to New Zealand, where I now live with my two wonderful daughters. Before becoming a Havening practitioner, I worked as a nurse for 16 years—work that taught me the value of compassion, safety, and meeting people exactly where they are.

Like many people, life has thrown a few curveballs my way. One of the biggest was navigating postnatal depression after the birth of my girls. I wasn’t just looking for relief—I wanted to understand what was happening inside me, and how to move forward with more ease and joy.

That search led me into personal growth work and psychotherapy, where I first experienced Havening. After just one session, I felt something shift—a lightness, a release—that changed how I met both the tough moments and the joys of parenting. I knew instantly this was something I wanted to learn, so I could share it with others.

Today, I feel deeply privileged to offer Havening to those carrying stress, trauma, or emotional overwhelm. My role is to create a safe, gentle space where you can reconnect with your own capacity to heal—in your own way and your own time.
